Siritunga in Jaffna

The USP has scheduled its presidential campaign in Jaffna and the surrounding area during the second and third weeks of January. They will meet people, distribute leaf-lets, and address public gatherings and meetings in Vavunia, Chavakachcheri, Jaffna, and other areas in northern Sri Lanka. Siritunga will be meeting prisoners who are held without any charge and are currently on hunger strike since the past several days. He will meet the prisoners who have been hospitalized as a result of the hunger strike.

On January 12, 2010, the USP has scheduled a press conference at the auditorium of ‘Udayan’ news paper.  All the media operated in northern Sri Lanka have been invited for the news conference.
